Our heart and soul is to introduce and connect people with the living and powerful God. We are a community of believers in which Jesus is central to all we do and we seek to embrace our city and nation we live in with the love, hope and goodness of our compassionate and faithful God. Whether you are looking for one-on-one bible studies, small group studies, regional meetings,  devotionals (Singles, Teens, University and Marrieds), or a Sunday service we are here to help you to connect.

It’s essential to respect the religious and communal nature of the setting. Here are some tips to consider:

  1. Understand the Community:
    • Research and understand the values, interests, and demographics of the church community. Tailor your advertising message to resonate with their beliefs and needs.
  2. Build Relationships:
    • Attend church events and services to build relationships with the community. Establishing trust is crucial before promoting any product or service.
  3. Sponsorship and Partnerships:
    • Consider sponsoring church events or partnering with the church for community projects. This can provide visibility for your brand in a positive and supportive context.
  4. Bulletin and Program Ads:
    • Many churches have bulletins or programs distributed during services. Inquire about placing advertisements in these materials, ensuring that your message aligns with the church’s values.
  5. Event Sponsorship:
    • Support community events organized by the church. Sponsorship can include financial contributions, providing products/services, or volunteering. This helps create a positive association with your brand.
  6. Digital Channels:
    • Many churches have digital communication channels, such as websites, social media pages, or newsletters. Work with the church administration to explore opportunities for online advertising or sponsored content.
  7. Community Announcements:
    • Some churches allow announcements during services or community events. Check with the church leaders about the possibility of making announcements related to your product or service.
  8. Educational Workshops:
    • Offer educational workshops or seminars that align with the church community’s interests. This can be an opportunity to indirectly introduce your product or service while providing value.
  9. Respect Church Policies:
    • Be aware of and respect any policies or guidelines the church may have regarding advertising. Some churches may have specific rules or ethical considerations that need to be followed.
  10. Give Back to the Community:
    • Engage in community service or charity work. Demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility can enhance your brand image within the church community.

Remember that advertising in religious settings requires a thoughtful and respectful approach. Building genuine connections and contributing positively to the community are key aspects of successful advertising in churches.

We’re all on a journey to become more like Jesus – loving God, loving people, building the churches together.

Christian Bible Study

As the name implies, Bible study is the studying of the Holy Scriptures practiced by Christians around the world. This is actually a personal and spiritual practice where certain times are devoted to reading and understanding parts of the Bible for enlightenment and spiritual enhancement.

Bible study here is not the same as Biblical Studies which is a formal course in the education sector. It could be a subject taught in schools and even assessed as part of an academic qualification. This means that Bible study is carried out voluntarily instead of an obligation. Besides Bible study, it is sometimes called Devotion in certain denominations.

Cell Groups – This is a very common practice where members of a church form small groups based on certain demographics. This can be a residential area, housewives, profession or age. Bible study sessions are usually organized in cell groups as a support system.

Generally, there are a few major types of Bible Study practices.

Inductive – This type of Bible Study involves studying and interpreting a certain passage in the Bible. This is usually carried out in small groups. A passage is selected and then read. The reader will then give his own interpretation of that passage with the group before the others share their respective views. In most cases, there will be insights gained on how this passage can be applied to their lives.

Exegetical – This type of Bible study is more suitable for teaching where it is often used by pastors, theologians and church leaders. A passage or chapter is studied to help the leader prepare for a class or a sermon.

Personal – This is the most common type of Bible study practice where a time is set aside to study the scriptures and engage in prayer. Personal Bible study is practiced mostly in Protestant Christianity which is sometimes called ‘Quiet Time’ where the Christian devotes the duration of this practice with God. In most cases, there are guides on which part of the Bible to read and what inspirations can be drawn from that session.

The Old Testament

The Bible is made up of the Old and New Testaments. They are not divisive in any way and are seen as progressive in terms of the timeline of events. Written in Hebrew, the Old Testament is actually the covenant made by God and His people. This was to prepare the people before the coming of Christ (which is where the New Testament started).

Books – In total, there are 39 books in the Old Testament starting from the book of Genesis which explains how God created the world, Adam and Eve and the fall of man. Besides that, it includes books like Exodus that tells the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments as well as Job, Psalms and Proverbs.

Sections – There are 4 main sections in the Old Testament namely The Pentateuch, Historical Books, Poetical Books and Prophetical Books.

The Pentateuch – This is the first 5 books of the Old Testament which is about the birth of the world, humankind and God’s promise to Israel and the people. It includes the story of Adam, Eve, Abraham, Jacob, Moses and others.

Historical Books – There are 12 books in total that includes the book of Joshua, Samuel and Kings. These books depict several timelines including the period of King Solomon, David and Samuel.

Poetical Books – 5 books make up this section that includes Psalms, Proverbs, Songs, Job and Ecclesiastes.

Prophetical Books – There are 17 books in total divided among Major Prophets (5 books) like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel and 12 books of Minor Prophets like Hosea, Joel and Micah, among others.

New Testament

While the Old Testament was mostly written in Hebrew, The New Testament was written in Greek and is regarded as the agreement made by God with His people after the coming of Christ. It is the account of the Son of man and was where God Himself became man to save His people by offering salvation. The New Testament contains parables which are often used in sermons and most Christian teachings. Beginning with Christ, the New Testament is the reason the Church exists.

Books – Like the Old Testament, the New Testament has a collection of books. In total, there are 27 books in the New Testament (with 39 in the Old Testament, the Bible has 66 books).

Sections – Books in The New Testament are divided into 3 sections which are Historical Books, Pauline Epistles and Non-Pauline Epistles.

Historical Books – There are 5 books in this section which are the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Acts. The birth of Jesus to His death and resurrection is told while Acts give the account of His ascension to Paul’s mission.

Pauline Epistles – Includes 13 books like Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Philippians, Timothy, Philemon and several others. These books mostly gave accounts of the Apostle Paul’s mission after Christ.

Non Pauline Epistles – 9 books are included in this section that includes the book of Hebrews, James as well as the letters wrote Peter and John. The book of Revelation is the last book of The New Testament (and the Bible) which gives a clear prediction of the future and the Second Coming of Christ.
